The North London Tavern
Overview
With its proximity to Queen’s Park and Maida Vale, the Kilburn High Road has become a hip London dining destination. Step inside the North London Tavern and you’ll discover the bedrock of Kilburn’s local creative community, a neighbourhood local with live jazz, film nights and poetry events. We love the relaxed atmosphere at the North London Tavern, and the décor is a chic mix of chandeliers, old leather Chesterfield sofas and an old wood-panelled bar. The modern British menu is a hit, and highlights include the courgette fritters with olive salsa; the poached smoked haddock served with a purple sprouting broccoli soufflé and spinach; and the braised shin of beef in red wine with mash and parsley and pepper dumplings.

This pub is probably one of the best addresses in Kilburn High Road. I wouldn't come especially here for it but while hanging around in the area and looking for a nice place to chill this is a good address.
Price are quite expensive for the area (we are not anymore in downtown London !) and both food and drinks cost the same as if you are in Soho but the atmosphere is nice, old furniture,...more
Never eaten here, but I like the place. Usually a good bunch of ales and a good vibe. Also, it's in my hood.
The Catweazle Club (open stage night originating from Oxford) used to do a night here upstairs on Tuesdays. This has since petered out. The pub is still good, tho'.more
Stopped by on a Saturday afternoon and fell in love with the decor - ceiling windows, wood panelling, marble bar, huge fireplaces.
Lots of light, friendly staff, not too crowded, separate dining room - the list of pluses goes on.
Then there's the food - a fantastic selection, a filling Caesar salad and crispy (yet light) sea bass for us, and pints in proper pint pots!
I don't stop by this way,...more
Great pub and great food, played gigs there, (although very small) and the only show the tasteful sport and maybe Total Wipeout if you're lucky. a little pricey but makes up for it with very charming staff and clientele, especially as there are surrounding places that tend to need security, the Tavern doesn't really. Really nice place but could do with a tiny-whiney little touch up here and there.more
Love it! The food is amazing, especially the truffle mashed! The staff is very friendly and the ambiance of the pub is just awesome.more
