I had heard many differences of opinion regarding the Byron burger chain, and I finally got a chance to see for myself. I ordered from the take away menu, which has limited options when compared to the full menu. When I saw the Portobello mushroom burger with goat cheese and other yummy ingredients, I could look no further. It is not common at a burger place to find such a decadent option....more

The food here is so, so good. I had the cheese burger, fries and vanilla milkshake. The milkshakes here is like diabetes in a glass. amazing. not for the faint hearted. literally the thickest shake in LONDON!!more

So Byron does burgers. However Byron burgers are not the best burgers, rather just basic burgers. I had the Byron burger which with bacon should elevate your basic burger to a beautiful burger, but it was still basic. Its flavor was a bit bare, as the Byron sauce wasn't a beautiful addition (although your basic ketchup and mustard helped). I didn't abhor the burger, it just wasn't any special....more

Since I added Byron to my "to review" list, I've been again, which I guess is the benefit of being so far behind on my yelping.... Or I can keep telling myself.

Anyway, back to Byron.

Things I love about Byron:

- burgers and fries a la carte

- bowl of bacon in the window (makes my heart sing and my arteries cry)

- A&W rootbeer floats

- tasty local and craft beer and cider options
