I absolutely adore this alluring store, and have made several purchases over the years including a Hermes Birkin bag, two Chanel bags, and a Chanel chain belt. This is a sensational second hand store on the popular Portobello Road.
Due to the expensive nature of the clothes in the shop (genuine gems from the 1940's and 50's, intricate, delicate dresses), there is a buzzer system on the door which prevents any stealing. It does feel a bit like you're entering a club you don't quite belong in, but once you see the stock you understand.
One of A Kind is my favourite vintage store on Portobello Road. And Notting Hill. Actually, it's one of my favourite vintage stores in town. Sure, the doorbell system is a bit wanky, but with clothes like this, it's easy to see why they need to monitor who comes in and out.
