The finest Italian cuisine comes to Covent Garden.

Opened in October 1985, Orso is a wonderful restaurant in the heart of London's West End. From the beginning, the aim was to bring authentic Italian cuisine to Covent Garden and Orso delivers.

Orso takes pride in using only the freshest and finest ingredients such as extra virgin olive oil, arugula, puntarelle, porcini mushrooms, buffalo mozzarella and white truffles, when in season and sourced in Italy. But it is not just about the ingredients; each meal is prepared to perfection, served on hand-painted Italian tableware designed by Designers Guild, and accompanied by a selection of fine Italian wines.

Orso is the perfect destination for the London diner, offering bustling but attentive service, a lively atmosphere and a tempting menu.

Loved this place. My friend and I split a delicious ricotta and spinach ravioli in a butter sage sauce and pizza with walnuts, spinach and caramelised onions (although it had goat cheese, which I didn't like). Really warm and cosy atmosphere. Good service. Nice location. Overall I was very satisfied!more
I needed to find a team dinner location for 12 people. The mandate was to have something "nice, sit down, and relatively affordable"--a tough ask in London. Orso worked out perfectly. Orso was a lot more intimate than we were expecting (and would be great for a romantic pre-theatre meal) but luckily out group had halved in size to just six at the last minute. We tucked ourselves away in a corner and chatted away happily amongst ourselves. The staff were attentive but not over bearing and very knowledgeable on their menu. The set menu provides excellent value for money at...more
Liked this place.

Came in late after seeing the Lion King. Lots of space, nice to feel open space.
Here's what we ordered:
SHELLS W/BOLOGNESE SAUCE: Very good. Loved what I ordered.
LINGUINE WITH CRAB: Both my daughter and wife ordered this and they approved, although my daughter preferred mine and...more
No Italian I know
Hard woods, low ceilings with white tile walls. I took the Tube to Tuscany?!? Open kitchen with great sounds and beautiful smells slowly wafting out. Too bad that's the best part.
Family tables set for 18 loving and laughing. The rest was filled with couples and a foursome or two and could max out around a very friendly 80. No music which at a low level would help break up...more
