A good-looking pub with a great ambience - nice seating options, great music (including vinyl), lots of pubbiness. They have 12 cask lines but on my visit (which was fairly early on a Friday night) only four of the lines were running. That's pretty awful, if you ask me. There are two huge tellys for watching football, which is good. The punters are a bit rough around the edges, but harmless enough. Poor selection of ales, in case that is what you are after.

A really pleasant boozer with a few different faces. Often, the bar is propped up by posties from the shockingly misnomered Mount Pleasant sorting office across the road (or as I like to call it: 'Postal Guantanamo'); or it's heaving with a crowd of football fans, largely gooners; or a couple of locals will bring their dog in for a drink and a chat, or to get some 'work' done using the free...more
Great Pub, blinding atmosphere and Doom Bar to boot.
Popped in for a pie at lunchtime and have to agree with the previous reviewer, the place is like a postman pat appreciation society. No wonder the mail is always late.the postmen are all quaffing ale here.
There are 2 big screens for Sport, a substantial menu, poker on Sundays and opening hours to suit even the hardest of drinkers.
