There are two huge tellys for watching football, which is good. The punters are a bit rough around the edges, but harmless enough. Poor selection of ales, in case that is what you are after.

Staff are efficient and polite.more

Affectionately known as Postie's, due to its proximity to a huge postal depot on Mount Pleasant, the Pakenham Arms has a late license that draws custom from the pubs nearby that shut at 11. There is not an awful lot to Postie's, no poncy couches, no fussy decor, just a standard, old-fashioned, no-nonsense pub, with a license that lasts an hour longer than many of the other pubs in the area.more

This is your typical around-the-corner pub - well-run, nice place, but nothing outstanding. They do have a good selection of lagers and ales, but most importantly, I think, it's one of the few pubs open after 11 during the week in this area.more

Our favorite London pub. Some of that had to do with the fact that it felt to us like "Cheers" in Boston as they knew us by the second visit. The food is good, The place is full of Postal workers and visitors from surrounding hotels. It feels to us like a pub should feel. Not a classy place. More like a Middlewestern U.S. tavern where friends gather.more
