At the risk of sounding like I might have synaesthesia, the phrase that immediately sprang to mind when I first walked into Comptoir Libanais was 'cacophony of colour'! I was struck by the vibrancy of colour in the food, the surroundings and even the patrons seemed colourful.

great value, convenient location. we got the veggie platter (several times)... the pastries are GREAT, falafel is a little dry, hummus is amazing, salad is amazing, tabouleh was just okay. had tea (bag not looseleaf). i love lebanese food! but i think yalla yalla is better...
veggie platter is still an AMAZING deal though. more bang for your buck!more
One falafel - seriously?
I'd come to Comptoir Libanais as it came highly recommended by a colleague of mine. And given that I am currently on the hunt for that best lunch-spot in Marylebone, I'd gladly followed his advise.

Bright lights, bright colours, and lots of sugar? That's all it took to make little 6 year old me happy and to be honest it still does the job 20 years later. Comptoir Libanais has all of the key ingredients for an exuberant meal with friends or a lively date.

Excellent middle eastern cuisine that is very reasonably priced for the location near Oxford Street. A bit understaffed but the food came fast enough for dining at lunch. Try the wraps that come with a side of hummus. Mmmmm!more
