Good friends of mine live near the Rose, so we've come a few times for drinks and for Sunday lunch. Recently, my fiancé and I hosted our casual engagement party there, and it was a great experience. I have been to the Rose Pub twice now in the last 3 months. Unfortunately on both occasions the food and service have been way below par. On our first visit we all ordered burgers, which we expected to come with chips. We waited over 40 minutes for the food, which finally came lukewarm and without chips. A classic pub experience! We were visiting London for just a few days and just really enjoyed the Sunday evening roast. We also got roped into a quiz night by the pleasant barman.

The pork roast was tender and juicy, and the fish and chips were delicious too. The staff was friendly and this was a nice escape from the more uptight offerings of Central London.more

The Rose hosted our Wedding Reception in October 2012 and we were thoroughly impressed with the service and attentive staff, all our guests enjoyed the food and the excellent drinks menu on offer.

The management were able to meet all our wedding needs and cater for some of guests glutton free dietary requests.
