I've now been to McQueen for a meal twice; once before its "refurbishment" and once after. Unfortunately the first time was quite forgettable whilst the most recent time was not only a bit "hit n miss", it was actually more "miss" than "hit".

Such a nice bar/restaurant!
Visited McQueen in Shoreditch having initially few drinks in the outdoor area opposite of the main restaurant, and then went inside for dinner. Had a 3 course dinner - everything was just perfect. Delicious dishes, no ordinary tastes, excellent presentation and one of the best service. The wine served also was brilliant. The most impressive is the decoration both...more

I expect some people just don't get this place! It's a late night bar with a roof area that's sometimes closed, sometimes open and sometimes they have some kind of gig or event on. Your experience will vary depending on whether or not some or all of this is open.
Best visited in the summer :)more
