Overview

Only a stone's throw from Richmond Park, The Plough is located on Christchurch Road in leafy East Sheen. This picturesque whitewashed inn has a historic heritage and a delicious, retro homely feel inside. The polished oak bar, blackboard menus and warm colour scheme give this gastro pub a settle-in-for-the-afternoon vibe, and we can't imagine anything cosier than a lazy Sunday roast at The Plough with a pint and the papers. The menu here is gourmet pub grub– don't miss the Toulouse sausages with roast garlic mash, buttered cabbage and cider jus; the chilli and coriander battered haddock and chips with peas and homemade tartare; and the Mexican beef burger with chorizo, avocado and relish. <br />..

This pub is a stone's throw from our old place on East Sheen Avenue and is a very nice, if not a bit threadbare neighborhood boozer in which I have spent many a cold evening during Fall and Winter, and relaxed outdoors on many a balmy Summer evening.

You'll see all the locals out on a Summer evening, some having walked down from Richmond Great Park, others having just finished a day at the...more
