What beautiful bar! I felt like had been taken back in time to the roaring 20s! The chandeliers were amazing - a true work of art. There is a whole cocktail section in the menu "inspired by the 1920s" (and the cocktails are simply gorgeous; served in the most beautiful glasses). I came here with friends before a show to spamalot, which is notably nicer than others in embankment but not as expensive as a few others. I had the lobster bisque which was ok, the bacon wrapped dates - yum and pheasant, which was tough. The burger my friend had was good. So before a show yes. On a normal night nomore
We had a pre theatre dinner at Boyd's and really enjoyed the food.
The "British" tapas were very nice indeed.
I enjoyed venison and pork belly.
The fish pies was very nice indeed.
Fruit crumble delicious.
The wine list was limited, obscure and pricey.
The service was excellent and they got us out in good time for the theatre.
My only mild criticism would be the cold ambiance of the room...more
