Atmosphere is family friendly/nice pub to catch up with friends. Food is good but bare in mind that they don't do traditional pub food here (apart from Haddock & Chips). Good selection on draft beer.more
I was in serious need of a good Sunday roast and this place delivered. Pork (still on the bone) with perfect crackling and yummy accompaniments. The service was quick, prices good and lovely wine. Definitely up for going back again.
Ps Yorkies were amazing. They didn't come with my pork but my friend got the beef and the Yorkie was huge and cooked perfectly!more
This is a proper pub towards the front at least! It looks good and I particularly liked the pewter tankards hung up around the walls and the beer clips present. The restaurant bit at the back is the larger section though.
Golden Hen and Sussex Best to choose from. I enjoyed a decent pint of the latter.more
This place and my experiences here are really best reviewed in two reviews, one for the pub and one for the restaurant - alas yelp wont let me add two, so the experience which has coloured my memory takes precedence.

Came here to meet friends who live close by, and they did not steer us wrong. Starter -- wild mushroom on brioche -- was exquisite, though quite small (I could have wolfed down another two!). Dessert, a chocolate torte with rhubarb sorbet, was better than I expected.
