They have a lion here! Ok, it was only a dog with what appeared to be a lion's mane, but it was impressive.
I got a table in front of an extended upholstered bench and went up to the bar to get a Guinness, which was poured well and included a clover leaf .

Definitely an odd (in a good way) little pub. On the unlovely stretch (is there any other sort?) of the Earl's Court Road, this local pub is not off to a good start. But, despite its location, it works. It has enough oddness (piano, showroom dummy, vintage photos, bewildered punters) to make it interestin.,

We dropped in on the Princess Victoria on a Saturday night after getting slightly sidetracked on Earls Court Road. It was sparsely populated with a young twenties emo crowd that seemed as chilled out as the twinkly Christmas lights hanging on the walls. Stumbled onto the Princess Victoria while we were headed for the Waitrose to pick up some groceries. This was our first night in London and we were hungry and not particularly interested in traveling too far from our flat. This place had a gorgeous exterior and the peek inside looked even more gorgeous. We decided to give it a whirl.
