Overview
Private collection of artefacts from the Thames foreshore in Rotherhithe. Includes Elizabethan cannon-balls, human skulls, jewellery, coins and clay pipes. Full educational service for groups and schools. Also local history walks, hands-on displays and a permanent exhibition, `Blitz...A Front Room', in the large hall area. The museum tells the story of Rotherhithe and contains a unique collection of dockers' tools. Peek Freans memorabilia including 5'6' replica Queen Elizabeth wedding cake. 'The 1950s' exhibition and collection of 'Artefacts from 20thC Homes' on 1st floor.
