Being an American expat, Anthro has a special place in my heart. When you walk in any Anthro store, you feel so goddamn happy and inspired. Maybe there is some sort of addictive chemical in the air, but even when you are super broke, just browsing in an Anthro store can lift the dullest spirits. One of my favorite women's clothing and home store from the states. Sadly, the closest one to Amsterdam is in London. I love just about everything about this place. Creative merchandising and visuals that tell a story (little vignettes that are to live for). If you're into the modern look then this place is not for you. It's more retro/vintage with a touch of classics.

I am neither a lover or hater when it comes to Anthropologie. Having never been interested in their clothes I cannot judge that end of their business. Now their home section is pretty good on the other hand.
Littered with knick-knacks and interesting statement pieces, their home items (glassware, bedding, books, door knockers, etc) are the types of items you might expect to find in a charity...more
