What it lacks in ambiance, it makes up for in friendliness. When the mouth-breathers at The Black Lion turned us away because we had a child with us (*fine* - I didn't want to go there anyways), one of their staff apologetically suggested that The Baywater Arms was licensed for families. Sure enough.

Staff are friendly, the food (while not gastro-pub) will certainly line your stomach enough...more

LONDON! :) I was tired and hungry and quite delirious when we seated ourselves in this cozy little pub. I was thrilled with the quick service and enthralled by the dumbwaiter that brought our food up from below. DUMBWAITER... not dumb waiter. Yes, there is a difference.

I stopped for a drink here on my way to a restaurant and without doubt was served by the two most miserable and disinterested bar staff ever. The pub was drab and can only make money from tourists or people desperate to have a drink after they get of the tube. it had a quiz machine to take our minds off the atmosphere as we finished our pints befofore we left.more

I agree with Dick W. What the Bayswater Arms lacks in ambience, it makes up for in friendliness.

It's nothing special. Some friends and I were staying at a hostel nearby, and we would stop in for lunch or an afternoon pint. Fairly standard beer, fairly standard food. Though, they do make a good pot of tea.

My husband and I came here for breakfast one morning during our stay. The place was full of people, the staff looked rushed, and we soon realized we were meant to seat ourselves.
