The Exhibition Rooms
Overview
Taking inspiration from The Great Exhibition of 1851 in Crystal Palace, The Exhibition Rooms restaurant is definitely unique for this area of London. Situated over two floors, the restaurant has Colonial-esque elegance on the ground floor restaurant that’s intriguingly juxtaposed with the decadent feel lounge. There’s a lovely decked garden, too. In the dining room, all is light and airy with white walls, masses of windows, wooden floors and vintage seating and tables. The lounge is an anything-can-happen mix of purple suede walls, silvered antique tables and low seating. The Exhibitions Rooms award-winning restaurant is a popular concoction, and the modern British menu has gone down a storm. Try Barbary duck breast with creamed Savoy cabbage, baby beets, caramelised shallots and port jus or skate wing on the bone with sauce grenobloise. Burger fans take note: The Exhibition Rooms makes one of the finest in the area and Monday night is always gourmet burger night.
