Overview

Cah-chi Korean Restaurant in Earlsfield, London, is a fun and buzzy place for group dining. Located on Garratt Lane, Cah-chi has a bright green shop front and a slightly more subdued neutral interior with polished wooden floors, taupe walls and trendy wallpaper. The vibe here is down-to-earth, and we love the traditional table-barbecues which are fantastic for dinner parties. You can byo wine here for only £2.50 per bottle corkage, and the menu is filled with favourites such as the Man-du soup – a homemade pork and vegetable dumpling broth; the barbecued pork belly served with sesame oil and salt; and the fantastically named O-jing-o Dup-bab – fried calamari and vegetables in a spicy sauce served with rice.

Cah Chi lives up to the hype. I have to admit I was slightly apprehensive about coming here on a UYE (thanks for organising Katherine B!) after failing to cope with kim-chi in a trip to Korea a couple of years ago. Then, I just couldn't deal with what to me seemed like its seriously hot tang, forcing me to break all my culinary rules when abroad and take refuge in Western-style eateries in a...more

Cah-Chi, I have no idea how I should pronounce you - my terrible Korean accent makes it sound like 'catch' with a Japanese accent 'ka-chi'. Ah well... despite my failure of pronunciation, I am in love. (...with your food)

This place is good from the first second you wander in! The smell of the beautifully marinated meats cooking on a barbecue has to be the best possible greeting for dinner....more

I was super stoked to try this place as my aunt had been raving about their food for a couple days now. I don't know if it's because there is no lack of good Korean food back at home, but I didn't find their mains that special. Their starters were really yummy, and the service is good! But their BBQ meats, and dolsot bibimbap were just okay.

Our first time in Cah-Chi, beautiful restaurant, excellent cuisine, great service. We ordered the set menu, testing several starters, all of them beautiful. A chilled draft Asahi beer was an excellent choice to accompany delicious slightly spicy dishes. Korean BBQ cooked to the table followed, and beef - rolled in salad leaves, sweet onions and rice - was a great choice. The only reason why I...more

My flat mate took us to Cah-Chi last night for our first try of Korean food.

It was a great experience. One of my favourite restaurants i have been to - period.

I have to wonder whether the restaurant is exemplary as it appears to be, or whether all Korean food is just that good. Regardless, if you go for a meal at Cah-Chi, you are going to have an incredibly pleasant time.

The decor has a...more
