This is a gem in a rough area, albeit my own dearly beloved rough area. I was so happy to find out about it and am now a regular customer.
So its says its a cafe and a deli, but in my view, its more of what I imagine to be a well-stocked Moroccan riad's larder with a few well-placed chairs and tables around the perimeter. The dude who runs it is French-Moroccan and much of the goods he sells...more
Wow, this place is dangerous. When I walk in, I don't know when I will be walking out...and with how many bags!
What a lovely French deli this is. The staff can be a little aloof, but once they know you they are very friendly and helpful. They also have very informal, but wonderful wine tasting frequently with the wine merchants presenting. Extremely fun affair!

I love this little charming and friendly deli. It has a great selection of food and wine, specializing in French-Moroccan fare, and has great coffee too. This deli, plus the excellent MFR greengrocers nearby, make living in the area a snap foodwise. This small French-Morrocan deli has really excellent produce (much of it coming straight by truck from Paris). I love the fact that I can just walk down the street and get everything I need for dinner. This is usually one of my stops, but the only thing that I really hate is that some of the things in here cost waaay more than an equal product somewhere else.
