The Lighthouse attracts a wide variety of patrons. Toys and board games are on hand to entertain children of all ages and we operate a dog-friendly policy. Our spacious decked back garden is perfect for taking in the papers on a Sunday summer afternoon, or cuddle up by a roaring fire in the winter on a comfy leather sofa. The Lighthouse is a freehouse, and we have taken full advantage of the fact. We stock an impressive range of beers, ciders, wines and spirits - with a constantly changing selection.
Our food is some of the best in the area with a constantly changing menu featuring the choicest seasonal ingredients and dishes. All of our food is locally sourced and organic wherever possible with our take on pub staples and more exotic fare sitting side by side on our ever changing menu.

They have an amazing patio and jinga.also they had the absolute best fish and chips in the world but hard to get a blacktop cabmore
The lighthouse has an open room with light airy atmosphere- that isn't really my thing in the winter but I highly anticipate summers in their massive garden. They have locally sourced food and drink. Especially good is sharing the Hamish Johnston cheese board in the garden. My favorite of their many beers served include a steigle and a Rothaus Hefe Weizen & Pils.more

However, I don't expect to be told off within minutes of arriving for leaving a door open, and I hadn't expected my tiny(!) portion of chips to be entirely hidden from view by an small/average-sized piece of fish...more

We went on a Sunday evening and service seemed a bit slow, though the place was pretty nicely packed for a Sunday with a lot of groups and couples from the twenty something professional...more
