Filled with wooden floors, simple flower arrangements and brightly patterned banquettes, Chella restaurant is suitable for business meetings, and the space has private dining options for events and cocktail parties. Chella’s menu is filled with old family recipes which have been given a modern makeover – we love the ash-e-reshteh soup made with Persian noodles, pulses and fresh herbs, and the gheimeh lamb stew with split yellow peas and dried limes cooked in a cinnamon and tomato sauce with aubergines and served with rice.

In my hunt for differing styles of cuisine I was introduced to this west London establishment (there is a good cluster of options in this area), and was very taken by the food - the main course "Fesenjoon" (duck stewed in pomegranate and walnut) certainly ranks as one of the best I have ever tried.
