Bea's Cake Boutique Bloomsbury

About

In what was once a former bank branch back in 1860, our cozy, shabby chic shop is taken up by our active open plan pastry kitchen where we churn out all the cupcakes, loaf cakes, cookies, brownies, marshmallows, meringues for all of the shops.

We want you to see our lovely space as your living room. You and your friends can enjoy mountains of scones with clotted cream and jam, lots of different flavour cupcakes, mini treats such as brownies, meringues and marshmallows and just to squeeze something savoury in there our delicious mini baguettes.

I came here for afternoon tea with my best friend and we both had a great time. Staff was very helpful and friendly and the atmosphere was cozy and cheerful. As for the tea, scones, sandwiches, and pastries, they were to die for! Absolutely delicious. Afternoon tea was a bit pricy, but definitely worth it. Would come here again!more

It was our first afternoon tea and it was perfect! The place is pretty narrow but cosy. The waitresses were really friendly and kind. We ordered the classic afternoon tea for two with English breakfast tea and Earl Grey. The afternoon tea was made of : several small brioche sandwiches ( salmon, avocado, beetroot and ham); two delicious scones with cream and jam; three types of brownie ( dark...more

Super friendly staff available to explain meal deals and pastry offerings such as the phenomenon known as the "duffin," a donut-muffin hybrid, baked not fried, and filled with jelly or nutella. Espresso-based drinks are amazing, and in the morning, you can get a hot drink with a duffin or cinnamon roll for about £2.80, which is totally worth it since the pastries are £2.50. Check out their...more

My all time favourite cup cake shop, they have a few branches across London so every time I walk past one, I can't resist. Some of my favourites include peanut butter which just melts in your mouth and it's better than reese (trust me!) and ofcourse the classic red velvet. I like the fact that's it's not too heavy as some cup cakes can be and he icing isn't too thick.

Definitely go to the...more

Cream. tea.

You're not going to get a lovely, intimate tea room setting, but you WILL get the most delicious, buttery scones EVER that go perfectly with clotted cream and jam.

I honestly don't remember what tea I ordered, but it doesn't matter. Come for the scones, and be deliriously happy.more
