They are three Mexicans bringing to London what is “real” Mexican … just straight and honest.

No “sombreros” or zarapes” hanging around…just an understated feel.

They love what they do and they do it for passion, that reflects in the quality of their drinks and food, simply good and fresh.

In all fairness the food here is good. I've dined here about four times and found the quality of food to be quite satisfactory. They also deliver which is a nice bonus as well. My "beef" with the place is they often burn incense which is disgusting!!! We walked in for dinner on a Thursday night and the smell of incense blew our sombreros off it was so strong. Nothing could have made me stay...more
Disclaimer: we only went here for drinks and nibbles.
The margartias are a total rip off. They leave huge chunks of ice in the glasses in order to skimp on the actual drink. We ordered a quesadilla that was awful and the service was equally as terrible.
Balham needs a good mexican restaurant, and I'm afraid this one isn't it!more
this place is pretty good. ive been a few times when im in need of a mexican food fix.
a good choice on the menu. friendly staff and overall....good food.
quite a small dining room but that add to the character of the place
only problem is not being able to call to book a table during the day as they only open at 5.30 in the evening.more

Tacuba serves pretty tasty versions of the above. I liked it because the tacos were corn ones, which you often can't find. There is a good...more
Good take on what I'd imagine Mexican street food is like. Portions are small, but that means you can treat it like tapas and try more!
When we went, they'd just done a Groupon deal, so it was super busy and a bit slow.
Their margaritas were very large, but had too much ice for my liking. Smaller and less ice please!
All in all, a good local place.more
