Woodlands is one of my favorite restaurants in London.

First of all, they make it easy- everything is vegetarian so that's especially great if you don't eat meat. But really, any meat eater can come here and be happy because their dishes are incredibly delicious and filling, subbing meat with different tofus, potatoes, beans, etc.

It's Indian, which I love because curries are flavorful,...more

I'm torn as to whether I really love Woodlands or not.

Whilst the food was pretty darn good... I felt it was very expensive for what we got. It was around £18 a head, and that's not counting drinks and in principle I hate having to pay extra for good vegetarian food - it should be available as standard!

Our cravings for some South Indian food led us to woodlands.

Easily walkable from the Baker Street station this is situated in maryleborne high street.

The interiors are rather simple, nothing much to write about.

The menu comprises of both north and South Indian cuisines with a larger variety in the South Indian category.

They have appetizers with street food selectors to grills.

The breads are fantastic as well - the lack of meat has resulted in their expertise in parts of...more

We shared a bottle of organic red wine that was delicious and well priced.

To eat, we ordered one of the sharing entrees, which came with five or six different dishes, the samosa app, and curried vegetables. All of this was delicious and very fresh tasting. Nothing was too saucy - everything was spot on!

Also, loved the individual roses on each table, cute...more
