About The Elk In The Woods
We are a small independent restaurant nestled in the middle of Camden Passage, a quaint pedestrian passage that harks back to a London gone by. We benefit from the quiet of the passage but are bang up to date with an urban cabin feel where industrial meets rustic; cosy and stylish. Serving locally sourced, freshly cooked food, Great British classics with twists and European tastes with an emphasis on the Scandinavian and we like our game. We are very proud of our food and our dedicated little team that experiment to get interesting and fun flavours! We serve Monmouth coffee, Curious and Frontier craft beers brewed in Kent and London on draft plus Camden Town Brewery bottled beers in the fridge and many more from Orchard Pig ciders to Hawkes ginger beer all from Somerset. We have a boutique selection of quality wines and we are always introducing new grapes like the bonarda which works very well with our menu. You can eat or drink anything on our menu at any time of the day, bliss!!

Good brunch, not great. Above average for sure.
Had the eggs bene and was just very ordinary what you'd expect.
Also tried a side of the orange ribs - again good but not great.
This place gets packed.

I've been to this place for coffee in the afternoon and cocktails in the evening. In the summer I really enjoy their outdoor seating and when it's cooler the interior is very nice... it's like sitting inside a romantic wooden cabin. Their coffee is renowned and...more
I found Camden Passage by accident. Strolled a bit before deciding on this place. Honestly, it was a toss up between the venison and the lamb burger. I made the right choice.
The service was fine, friendly, I don't know what other yelpers are expecting.
The food was reasonably priced. Tasty. Fine. If I was in the alley and hungry, I would go back.more
Some friends suggested we pay a visit here for brunch and not really being a believer of those faddy in-between meals, I was a bit reluctant. I mean, really? Have breakfast or lunch, why do you need something else? Greedy. But the Elk in the Woods changed my mind. Be still my groaning stomach!
We got here just after 11 and luckily my friend had made a reservation or, and there's no doubt...more
What a breakfast! I came here with some friends and had the bacon, apple sausage, eggs and toast... It was second to none. From the moment it arrives your mouth is watering. The plate looks pretty heaped and you dive in for the first bite.
My main concern was that it wouldn't live up to what it promised, I had no need to worry. It was all cooked to perfection and tasted Devine. You have to...more
