A famous Notting Hill landmark, The Elgin is a lively pub that has a little bit of everything - modern British dishes and classic family favourites, chill out tunes and comfy sofas, irresistible real ales and large tables. All these elements come together to create a proper pub atmosphere, with the look and style needed to establish it as an important part of the local pub scene. You can sit at the bar and enjoy some nibbles with a glass of wine or, if you're particularly popular, large groups of friends can be accommodated in the dining room at the back where there are board games, music and free Wi-Fi. With a warm and welcoming vibe throughout, The Elgin is ready to stand out as a fantastic community pub in W11.

Can't really explain why, but I've never been convinced by The Elgin. There has been a pub in this location for as long as I can remember (which is quite a few years ...) and the current incarnation certainly beats the dodgy hangouts it replaced. Music a little loud, but cool atmosphere and full of locals.
