Hidden away amongst the boutiques, cafes and restaurants of Upper Street, Slim Jim's is a boozers hideaway. It's themed "American Dive Bar" which naturally means that there are dirty bras hanging from the ceiling (I can't recall seeing this in many American bars outside of Vegas but not to worry), old Rock N Roll music ripples through the speakers and you get 2 ice cubes in your drink ( why is...more
I've been to Slim Jim's before and have had a pretty decent time. I was out with my co-workers Friday night for a work social and decided to take them there to show them the bras in the ceiling and to get a drink.

Turns out I was wrong on that last one!
The dive bar is one of my all-time favourite things. For those unaware, a dive bar is a few different things, but mostly: dark, dirty-feeling, it's got old...more
