Being one of the first on the scene the Salusbury has seen its guises change over the years but is more comfortable now than ever. An excellent chef, Andrew Filar and passionate manager, Romina Puddu ensure the pub is delivering the best in food, drink and service. Andrew brings his wealth and depth in understanding of seasonal British cuisine from his time as Head Chef at the Medcalf, Exmouth Market where he worked for more than 7 years, and Romina always ensures the customers experience at the Salusbury is an enjoyable one. With her impeccably kept cellar she keeps our selection of fine ales, stouts and porters in prime condition as well as selecting great value wines with sense of place, by the glass and bottle.

We've always had top notch meals and service. Love the smoked haddock w/ creamed leeks. If you just fancy a burger it's guaranteed to be lovely and cooked to perfection.more

This used to be one of our favourites but oh how disappointing it was last night. Incredibly noisy, very mediocre food and expensive. Have a pint but don't eat here. My husband spent most of last night on the toilet when we came home. Too salty, fried and poorly cooked. What a loss to the area!more
It used to be a fave about 2 or 3 years ago but ever since the "chicken coups" where placed outside it was never the same. Even worse now the bar is at the back - not that the bar positioning is to blame, but perhaps the over gentrification. Always fond memories of meeting great randoms outside though.more
It's a beautiful place. Someone deserves a high-five or whatever for the design.
And the employees are very nice. It kind of reminds me of places in New York - half bar/half Italian eatery.
I can go with either half and be happy. :)more
