It's times like these I despair that 'psychedelic vintage music venue' is not a category on Yelp. Zigfrid von Underbelly looks like an emo hunting lodge meets rocker set. And unlike quite a few places in the area, it feels very genuine rather than what often comes across as over-done, artificial hipster quirkiness. Definitely A+ for effort on the decor and vibe!

I have loved this place for years - it is one of the only original places left in Hoxton! Although it is a really cool place, it has an unpretentious vibe, which I love. I like Zigfrid. Weirdly, I'd never really noticed it on Hoxton Sq, I guess normally I just waltz right into Hoxton Bar and Grill. But good news folks, there's another good place to party on the square.
I love the weird decor and lighting, complete with moose heads, old furniture and psychadelic items dotted around. They make a mean rum and coke, and that's important. I can't speak for other...more
