This is the quintessential British fish-and-chips shop.

They offer several different kinds of fish that are skillfully fried. Portions are large and very good value for the money. Every time I am in London I seek this place out for a good meal. I enjoy the plaice, haddock, or cod depending on my mood. The fryers really do know their craft!

Inside is clean, tidy, and vintage. Formica obviously...more

Best fish and chips in London. Huge portions and delicious mushy peas make this a perfect dinner or post-drink indulgence. Plus, there's a good chance you'll have to share your booth with a stranger, making it even more of an adventure!more

All in all, not a bad place to visit and my lowish score is probably a result of...more

Portions are huge. Tried mushy peas for the first time here, which is a pretty big thing in London and it was interesting. It wasn't amazing but it's something worth a try if you're in London. I really liked the chips. Unfortunately you have to pay for tartar sauce? 40p a pack. It's a small little place but that's where I hear you get the best fish and chips!more
