The award-winning Rosemary Branch Theatre in Islington was once a Victorian music hall, so theatre and performance are soaked into its beams and rafters.
Legend suggests that Charlie Chaplin and Marie Lloyd (as well as many others) performed here.
Today, the Rosemary Branch team are dedicated to producing an eclectic mix of of entertainment and providing a safe and supportive place for all areas of emerging talent. The intimate studio space seats around 60 people.

So, confessions. I thought I was coming to the Rosemary Branch Theatre to see a play, imagine my surprise when I realised it was a pub beneath. So you can have a cosy pub dinner and then head on upstairs to see the show. Now the play area is TINY, maybe 20 - 30 seats max and the show was full so we were crammed in. If you enjoy immersive theatre, then this is the place for you.

This pub is great! The music was proper golden oldies, they have board games which you can play! The food menu looks pretty incredible for a pub and best of all...they have a small theatre upstairs!!!! I love supporting fringe theatre and so should you!!!more
I really like the decor in this pub. There are model airplanes hanging from the ceiling and as it was the holidays the restrooms were decorated like giant presents. There is even a piano in the corner where a punter could entertain the crowd if they pleased. This place gets really crowded so if you have a large group, be sure to make a group booking.

As summer finally barrels into London, muttering excuses about alarm clocks and missed buses, the Rosemary Branch really comes into its own. It's bright and airy indoors, with a few scattered tables outside. You can feel your heart rate relax as you walk in the door.
There's a pretty good beer selection, but the food was somewhat variable: burger'n'chips - cracking, bangers'n'mash - mediocre....more
