In 1972, I had the privilege of visiting the Hard Rock on Park Lane. I recall this being the year it was initially opened by a couple of Tennesseans. The q was a couple of blocks down Park Lane. Having worked that summer in Cornwall, we had not laid eyes on an American girl(s) in three months. After about an hour in the q, out walked the most beautiful 5-6 UKentucky coeds. I had not a COLD...more

If you sit at a table with an Eric Clapton guitar above you that's his spot (he was a regular when it first opened) and that guitar is the first memorabilia given to the cafe. If you don't like the memorabilia blame that...more

Hard Rock is one of those places you should probably come to once, especially this London one, being the original.

We've been a few times over the years, and it's always crazy busy. This time we went at 5pm on a Saturday (with a reservation - always go with a reservation!) They told us it'd be a 15 minute wait but then someone else called us right in and took us to our table. I'd won a...more
