Bankside Gallery is the gallery of the Royal Watercolour Society and the Royal Society of Painter-Printmakers. The gallery runs a changing programme of exhibitions of contemporary watercolours and original prints by members of the two societies, offering visitors the opportunity to purchase these works at affordable prices.

A little gallery tucked away, but close to the waterfront.

It is a quiet traditional gallery that has a nice mix of art work, local scenes and scenes that are refreshingly different from the usual-naked -woman, mad crazy styles that you see in London all too much. Always worth popping into this small gallery and home to the Royal Watercolour Society. Here you can also buy affordable art, I like the variety of art on display in this small space, and the often seeming randomness of the hangings.more

The Bankside Gallery has nothing on the hype and fame of the Tate Modern, but whenever visiting the Tate I always leave time to look around this little gallery next door.
