The Old Truman Brewery is East London's arts and media quarter, home to a hive of creative businesses as well as independent shops, galleries, markets, bars and restaurants.

For 15 years, the Old Truman Brewery has been regenerating its 10 acres of vacant and derelict buildings into spectacular office, retail, leisure and event spaces. The finely tuned mix of business and leisure has created an environment unique in London, making the Old Truman Brewery a destination in its own right.

The vast area that is the Old Truman Brewery can be, on any given day, great or awful. It all depends on what sort of event/sale/fair/etc. is happening in the open spaces. However, as a whole, it's an interesting venue and they've made some updates in recent times to make the spaces a bit less dirty/worn and slightly more accessible, which is nice. There's so much going on in what's left of the Old Truman Brewery which consists of several massive buildings - except beer brewing. I don't think many of the artists studios that used to dominate the area are left, but you can still enjoy plenty of art with regular art fairs and pop-up galleries. The annual Art Car Boot Fair in the yard is an absolute favourite!

I have been to The Corbet Place few times, specially on Thursday when we have a Brazilian Forro night. It is always a pleasure to meet very nice people and dance forro till late.more

Head to Truman Brewery and the sunday market if you're in London. You get a great mix of local artists, vintage, antiques, and local putting up impromptu flea market items along the street.more
