The Museum of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society was founded in 1842, as a scientific collection of materia medica for use by pharmacy students in the Society's school of pharmacy. It only began to collect historical material in the 1930s. The Museum moved to its current location with the rest of the Pharmaceutical Society in 1976.
The museum and collections are temporarily closed for relocation, and will reopen as soon as possible after the move is complete. Guided tours are currently available if booked in advance, but the museum is not open for general admission.
