Founded in 1977, Hamiltons is one of the UK's foremost photography galleries. Owner Tim Jeffries has run the business since 1984, specialising in mid and late-20th century masters such as Irving Penn, Richard Avedon, Helmut Newton, Herb Ritts and Robert Mapplethorpe, among others. Hamiltons has the distinction and honour of working closely with and representing many of the great photographers of our time. He also seeks out and presents work by contemporary masters such as Guido Mocafico, Roger Ballen, Alison Jackson, Erwin Olaf, Albert Watson and Miles Aldridge.

I love this space. Sadly it looks a bit forbidding from the outside. It doesn't feel like one could just go inside, but one can and one should. Its specialising in photography and it is showing solo as well as group exhibitions. The art work is always so beautiful and I'm always tempted to buy something. The prices are not unreasonable, but I wouldn't expect them to sell things under a grand.more

Hamilton's is very high end. A closed door gallery with a private collection of pieces that may be available for sale either in this here place, or at one of the nearby auction houses like Christie'smore
