The City Cafe is absurdly overpriced (£17 for a breakfast buffet with a very small selection, £4 for a few slices of cold toast, et cetera) and simply not good. You'll be better off walking to one of the nearby restaurants which serves breakfast.more

We were booked at the City Inn Westminster and since we were too hungry and too tired to go anywhere else for lunch, we decided to try their City Inn Cafe. This is a great place to come for dinner if you're a) staying at the hotel b) in the area on a Sunday as it's the only place open.

A very hidden place just down the road from the Tate Britain! The restaurant is inside the hotel, and located on a quiet street near Pimlico.

It was a usual hotel restaurant, quite classy and elegant, and the waiting staff were very courteous and prompt. The atmosphere was perfect for a romantic dinner.
