Silver Cross was yet another example of my travel buddy and I declaring, "hey we're hungry, let's stumble into a random place" while we wandered around London. Once again, we got lucky with our stumbling. Silver Cross was almost completely empty when we arrived, meaning that we got to enjoy a quiet meal in a pub for the first time on our entire London trip.

This is strictly for bar, location, and we got two very comfortable chairs, to enjoy our pints. Girlfriend is from London, we were staying in Victoria, had toured Trafalgar Square, so it was convenient, but she waved us off concerning the food. It is shabby and unclean in the toilets and shabby and worn down in the finishings...more

The pub was right by Trafalgar Square and there was ample seating available. It took us a few times to realize this, but the Silver Cross, like most of the pubs in London requires you to seat yourself then order at the bar. Luckily there was signage...more
