Gordon, you eccentric chap. I went into Maze, not expecting much, assuming it might just be another celebrity chef dining experience that is overhyped and overpriced. But no no, I was wrong. Maze has proven me wrong.

Went their last week for lunch. I wasn't that hungry so I ordered the butternut squash soup. It was very good- could have used a little more seasoning but was happy to note that it was not cream based and tasted quite fresh. The potion size was quite large so that was all I had. I would go back to try more dishes.more
I was here last year around this time of year. The only thing you should be getting at the Maze is steak. I made a slight mistake of ordering the lobster and bone marrow dish (don't get me wrong, it was still yummy. The grill is however a complete shocker. Went once and ordered steak. It was tiny, first time was massively overlooked. When I asked if they were proud of output I was told it was good and the chef had called it away - extraordinary
