Five stars for family diners, definitely. I went to Albion at Turnmill street last weekend and it's one of the most family-friendly places I've found around here... Plenty of room for buggies, loads of high chairs, charming staff and free kids meals (my kids love the taste of 'free'!). You can have any dish on the menu as a half size portion for them, and they do a great roast.lmore
Well I am slightly disappointed... I had relatively high hopes for The Albion and as a restaurant in itself it's beautifully presented but my food was...meh!
I'm not sure what the Albion is trying to be - is it a gastro pub? Os it a restaurant? Is it a store? I'm still unsure to be honest. But I will say it is bright and inviting.

Believe this is a new addition to the Albion collection.
Didn't book a lunch time reservation on the day we went so were told there was only space in the 'Pie Room' which made it feel like a sub section of the restaurant. Note to self, book in advance next time!

I visited the newly opened branch of Albion located at the junction of Clerkenwell and Turnmill street and is the bigger of the other Albion's
Albion is a mixture of restaurant, cafe and shop and champions British fair. Now for the good.
The menu is classic serving seasonal British food - think steak and chips with Stilton sauce, fish and chips. The steaks were cooked to perfection....more
