At Sofra on St. Christopher's Place, you can pop in for anything from a bistro bite to a full Turkish feast from noon to midnight.

Manager Hussein Ozer offers you the delicious Middle Eastern cuisine he recently showcased on BBC TV's 'Masterchef'. The best way to enjoy the menu is to order lots of different things to share with friends you've brought along and Sofra's menus accommodate this dining experience perfectly. The main menu offers a range of daily changing specialities, including Lamb or Venison Stew with smoked aubergine caviar (His Highness' and Emperor's Favourites respectively), Moussakka and Venison Tagine off the bone. To accompany each meal, Sofra's house bar has an excellent wine list and a tantalising selection of cocktails for you to enjoy.

Great find! Loved the service and food. Stand outs were the lamb (pictured), lentil soup and the most delicious hummus I've ever had! Reasonable prices, too. Turkish waiter Emre and manager were excellent! Definitely recommend for lunch or dinner!

Heard they have an extensive breakfast menu too- will check out another timemore

I mentioned I liked tagine, I was delivered a scrap of admittedly tender meat on a couple of bits of vertebra with a very...more

Our experience at Sofra started a little rough. We came by at about 10pm on a Monday night with a group of seven. After asking if they had a table, the guy looked at our group and went, "Do you want to eat together?"

Yes. We do. It's why we asked for a table of seven. Really?

He said he'd check and he found us one inside.

We say and got menus. Sofra is a chain with a few spots through...more
