As crazy as it may sound, I so miss The Champion!
My husband and I were in London in early May 2015 and our hotel was about a "block" - an American term - away from this awesome little pub. After passing by here a couple of times
on our way to sight-see, we decided to stop and have a drink and dinner and were so glad we did.
This became our "regular" place over the few days we were here,...more
This was a lovely pub just far away enough from the hubbub of Notting Hill to be considered relatively out of the way (insofar as anywhere in the centre of London can be). Good selection of beers, some nice bric-a-brac on the wall. Child-friendly during the day and close to Kensington Palace Gardens which is an ideal one-two on a sunny afternoon.more
This is my first UK review! I must start off by saying the whole bland food, warm beer thing is a complete myth, and this places proves that.

Little did I know, it was pub quiz night - luckily, the quiz takes place in the main foyer, and I...more
Cool place - with an open style and wooden decor. They have a good choice of drinks - guest ales are particularly nice. Small outside sitting at the front - with a larger outside area down the stairs out the back. The back part is quaint with benches and tables, ideal for warmer weather. Well worth a pop in if you are around that area or why not make a trip there for a meal.more
