There's a certain kind of draw to Mustard, a classic brasserie in Brook Green, that lures you in when you pass by the restaurant. The golden yellow upholstery on the seats and benches, mixed with the light chartreuse and natural, earthy tones of the restaurant design make Mustard as visually appealing as it is a culinary delight.

I would always like to support a local place like this which isn't part of a huge chain but I can't love Mustard.

Service is poor, slow, coffee and food orders taken wrongly (3 different mistakes) rubbish coffee, orange juice bought in and generally lacked in effective communication between staff.

The haddock omelette was quite large in size but not super flavourful.

I was surprised to be seated at 11 am on a bright sunny Sunday without any reservation. I also half expected a lot of mustardy color (i.e., dirty yellow) for the interior of Mustard, but boy was I wrong! If you have been enjoying this restaurant without a reservation or crowd, I suspect that is about to change very quickly. I stumbled upon this jewel because my usual favorite restaurant in the area, the Green Brook Hotel pub was closed for renovations.
