Walking in Candy Cakes feels like stepping into an adolescent manga cartoon. Bright colours of lurid pink, luminescent green, every colour in the rainbow call out from their splashed position on top of muffins urging us to eat them. And yes, muffins, not cupcakes like I initially thought.

I rang these guys up in the morning to ask if they could do three cupcakes with a personalised 'Happy Birthday' message on them for my girlfriend's birthday.
They made them up quickly and placed them in the window so that when my girlfriend and I were 'just having a look in the window' she saw the Happy Birthday message to her and it was all romantic and happy and everything.

Oh Yes, I love this place!!! It's like a caricature of a cup cake store, whose creator necked too much LSD. I like the vibrant colours of the cakes, can they make them any more OTT?
The cakes are good too. A little too sweet, a little too big, a little too much icing, a little too much colour. They are alive, and I love them.more
This is the cupcake place dreamt of by kids and feared by dentists; it looks like a life-sized Candyland! The décor from the walls to the chairs all look like candy and so do all the goodies. I know everyone RAVES about this place. Really, it's all those kids in the Qype office can talk about sometimes. Very Qyped up on sugar... But I'm just not as keen as I thought I would be.
The cakes look amazing. I like things that look like they belong in a cartoon. These cakes do! Like The Jetsons or something.
And they actually taste really yummy.
