St Dunstan in the West

Overview

The church, designed by John Shaw in 1833 complete with Gothic lantern tower, lies on the north side of Fleet Street. Its unusual octagonal shape is most appropriate to the church's ecumenical role for it allows several altars to be housed in positions of equal prominence. The church is an Anglican guild church and is also home to the Romanian Orthodox Church in London.
