Overview

A church built by Sir Christopher Wren in 1672. Tower by Nicholas Hawksmoor (1722). Restored by Sir George Gilbert Scott in 1870. Famous all over the world for its long-standing musical tradition, dating back several centuries, which continues to this day.

Practical Information

Sunday, 11:00 Choral Eucharist and Sermon. The congregation is invited to stay afterwards for a glass of wine at the back of the church.

Monday, 13:00 Organ Recital (except for Bank Holidays). This series of recitals was started by Harold Darke in 1916.

Wednesday, 13:10 Holy Communion (said) (lasts twenty-five minutes), with two minute sermon on fundamental Christian teaching.

Friday, 13:10 pm Holy Communion (said).
