Rob Ryan is so cool right now, it's almost uncool. As east London became scattered with his designed flyers and posters, he made quite a name for himself.

Walking into Ryantown is like stepping into his head.

This newly opened shop is by one of the most up and coming Irish artist Robert Ryan. The theme is usually around romantic fairy tale, or BIRDS! Yes BIRDIES!! Ryan's paper cut design and screenprints are delicate, elegant and playfully charming. I also love how he weave the typography into the graphic design. There are some really beautiful galleries and art shops on the Columbia Road stretch of Shoreditch and I enjoyed walking from one to another. On this creative journey, I stopped into Ryantown to check it out.

Rob Ryan is a great artist and his creations are paper, light, sentimental and, well, girly. It's a very unique and beautiful style but this store is clearly not for me. And that's ok....more
