Staying in the hotel one night in July 2016, I met up with a British friend who recommended the restaurant in the hotel. She had the down home dish, fish & chips. Her review was positive!

Nice restaurant for British food on an upscale level. Restaurant is understated and a bit loud due to the lack of upholstery. Chairs are hard but the food is amazing. Staff is very friendly. Prices are 22 pounds for a three course meal such a value! And yes I actually dined here...three times.more

Very tastefully and creatively decorated without being pretentious. A very welcoming and warm restaurant with very sweet...more

Service was extremely slow. The food was extremely poor and the wine was undrinkable - it was vinegar, not wine. Complaining about it didn't help, it was met by the manager with ignorance and a shrug. Shameful really. And on top of it all I was hit with explosive diarrhoea shortly after finishing the main course, a sleepless night and...more
