Staying in the hotel one night in July 2016, I met up with a British friend who recommended the restaurant in the hotel. She had the down home dish, fish & chips. Her review was positive!

And on top of it all I was hit with explosive diarrhoea shortly after finishing the main course, a sleepless night and...more

Context: Friend's birthday dinner. Scoff & Banter was a good mid-way meeting place for people from all corners of London. It also was a good vibe for a cross-generational crowd (see: not too out-there menu, good quiet nooks without loud music blastic, great design. Oh, but now I'm giving too much of the review away. So here goes):

I don't know that I'd make a special trip to a Scoff & Banter...more
