One of only 15 UK restaurants recognised by the Thai government for its quality and cuisine, Nipa wears its heritage proudly on its sleeve. The teak-panelled interior is inspired by its sister restaurant in Bangkok, with a profusion of orchids that feel strangely at home in their first floor setting in the Lancaster Hotel overlooking the Italian Fountains of Hyde Park. Three set menus and the extensive à la carte offer a mouthwatering range of intense Thai flavours, mixing traditional dishes of central Thailand with regional specialities.

The food at this restaurant was very good. The service was terrible. I am not sure why they chose not to serve out table. We were wanting to order tea and dessert but server would not come back to table. I wondered if she did not like Americans because they fell all over several other tables in close proximity. Very sad for our London visit. We have not felt this any where else we have...more
My family and I had a fantastic dinner at Nipa over Christmas. We got one of the tasting menus and every single course was absolutely delicious. The service and employees were both top notch. The highlights for us included the Tom Yum Koong (spicy lemongrass broth with prawns, mushrooms), Green Curry, and the Pad Thai. The restaurant is tucked away in the second floor of the Lancaster hotel...more
Outstanding Thai food, we are very lucky to have stayed at the Lancaster London hotel. The food was surprisingly excellent and very authentic. The hostess Noy was very gracious and hospitable and was more than patient and very helpful in making recommendations for all of our family members. The restaurant is very elegantly decorated and the service was wonderful. A real gem!more
If I could give it a lower rating I would. The service was slow and the food overpriced. They did not ask if we wanted tap water so we paid for still water, they charged us for an extra desert because they brought the wrong one at first, and the dinner took a good two hours and fifteen minutes!
Go somewhere else, do not be fooled by the reviews, your local greasy spoon Thai restaurant is way...more
All I can say is delicious!!!
Everything we ate was amazing....the chef starter, soup, prawns, pad Thai, and finished it off with coconut ice cream.
