The Hide is a Bermondsey Street fixture and a drinking destination, whether you're wanting to sample their carefully researched and fastidiously prepared cocktails, knock back some vintage Armagnac, or share a G and T with a local distiller. The bottles are as interesting as you'd expect for somewhere that shares a building with the Wine & Spirits Education Trust, and the food makes the most of nearby Borough Market and other local suppliers, offering dinner or an assortment of delectable sharing plates to order with the drinks. Come for an aperitif and you might not find yourself anting to leave until the early hours.

Fantastic. This is the Ziloufs of Southeast London! Great cocktail menu - innovative, creative drinks at £8.50-£10.50 a pop. The drinks were delicious and unlike anything I've had anywhere else. Table service means a short wait at the door, and we got there late so only had time for two before closing time. However, it was a great choice of bar and I am really glad we went.

My second time at The Hide! The first time I went with Larissa G. but we got way too drunk for me to write any kind of reasonable review of it.

The second time was for a date. The Hide is actually a perfect date location because it's classy cocktails in a central location that's quiet enough for you to chat, and dark enough if your companion isn't a stunner.

The best part about this bar is...more

Great cocktail venue if there's a group of you - you can book a table, there's waiter service, and an interesting, innovative menu with plenty of choices to try, all arriving beautifully presented with good attention to garnishing!

There's a relaxed buzz with classic tunes humming away in the background (at just the right volume not to disrupt conversation) and the industrial styled ceiling...more

Awesome (random) night at The Hide Bar last night. We strolled in there at 11pm for a casual "last one before bed", ending up leaving when they were turning down the bar and putting the chairs up. Why? Because the cocktails here are superb (and ya know, once you pop, you just can't stop). The barstaff really know their shizzle, so you can tell them what you like and they'll find something for...more

I scoped out some reviews of the place by friends that I respect and trust, and was encouraged to head here for some pre-grub cocktailery. I really enjoyed my visit here and the drinks were imaginative and tasty. Job done.

I tried to call ahead to reserve a table but was unable to get anyone to pick up my call. So I headed down with a certain amount of trepidation about whether I would get a...more
