This is an absolutely colossal Wetherspoon pub and the interior alone blew my pants off.

After putting my pants back on I instantly went up to the bar to ask what the enormous roof was about (even though it was obviously a theater of some sort). There is even a balcony and a projector. As a general rule, J D Wetherspoon and I do not get along. No it's not you J D, it's me.

As a second general rule, I like almost anything that has been renovated into a pub.

After a long day at LMU on Holloway road, I was ready for a good ol pint.

The Coronet is a few blocks away and once we got there, it was delightful. There is a lot of room along with couches so it was easy to feel comfortable there. Confession: this was one of the first pubs I went to when we moved to London. It is a large and depressing Wetherspoons. I immediately understood what that chain basically promises from visiting here. It was educational. It was actually a cool space to stop in for a drink, but I wouldn't recommend passing the evening there.more

Massive old theater converted to a weatherspoons, its quite a sight to behold. But its earily quiet and not a great atmosphere. The beer is weatherspoons average. But cheap.more
